TERMS OF USE

Terms of use

AU Receipt is provided by Wei Cui (GuGu Develop), an individual developer based in Victoria, Australia. These terms explain the service, your responsibilities and your rights. Please read them before accepting them in the app or making a purchase.

Effective 8 September 2026

The service and who can use it

AU Receipt helps you capture, organise, review, synchronise and export receipt records. The website provides product information and support; it does not provide a Web receipt manager. The service is for adults aged 18 or older who can legally enter into these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you must have authority to act for that organisation.

AU Receipt is a record-keeping aid and does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Recognition and automated suggestions can contain errors. Check receipt details, calculations and exports against your original records before relying on them, and keep originals where needed for tax, legal or warranty purposes. These responsibilities do not reduce our obligations or your rights under applicable law.

Your account

Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email address. Verifying a new email address creates an account. Use an address you control, protect your device and sign-in codes, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share codes to transfer your account to someone else. You are responsible for your own use of the service, but are not automatically responsible for every unauthorised action on your account.

Your content and permitted use

You retain your rights in receipt images, notes and other content you provide. You give us and service providers acting on our instructions a limited permission to host, copy, process, transmit and display that content only as needed to provide the features you request, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorise selling your content or using it in advertising. It ends when the content is deleted, except for the limited retention described in our privacy policy.

Only upload content you have permission to use. Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe another person's rights, upload malicious material, access another account without permission, bypass access controls or deliberately disrupt the service. You may report a suspected security issue privately through support.

Optional purchases and access

AU Receipt is not yet listed on Google Play. These terms do not start a paid subscription or authorise a charge. Any future purchase is optional and requires your separate confirmation after the purchase screen shows the price, billing period, benefits and any renewal or trial conditions. An account trial without payment details does not automatically become a paid subscription.

If you later buy a store subscription, its disclosed store billing and cancellation rules apply alongside your statutory rights. Cancelling renewal and deleting an AU Receipt account are separate actions: account deletion does not itself cancel a subscription held with a store. Contact support if you need help with a purchase or refund; store procedures do not remove any remedy you are entitled to receive from us.

Feature access and any usage limits are shown in the app. We will not impose a new charge simply because you continue to use a free feature or contact support.

Privacy and account deletion

Our privacy policy explains data processing, service providers, retention and your choices. Reading these terms or sending a support request does not give consent to unrelated marketing or unnecessary data collection.

You may stop using AU Receipt and request deletion through the app or our account deletion page, including if you no longer have the app. We verify account ownership before deleting data and aim to complete deletion within 30 days after verification. If additional time is needed, we will explain why and provide an updated timeframe, subject to any shorter legal deadline. The deletion page and privacy policy explain the scope and limited retention exceptions. Save any records you need before deletion; deleting your account is different from signing out or moving an individual receipt to Trash.

Availability, suspension and ending access

We use reasonable care to provide the service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or error-free automated results. Devices, networks and external services can fail. Contact us about problems so we can investigate and provide any remedy required by law.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, serious or repeated misuse, or a legal requirement. We will use measures proportionate to the issue, explain the reason and allow you to respond or correct it where practical. Immediate action may be needed to prevent harm or comply with law; we will notify you when it is safe and lawful to do so. You can ask support to review a decision.

If we discontinue the service or end your access, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to retrieve your records where practical and lawful. Ending access does not remove rights to refunds, other remedies, privacy requests or complaints.

Your consumer rights and responsibility for loss

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those guarantees apply, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, a refund, cancellation or compensation depending on the circumstances. We will honour those obligations. A store policy or service limitation does not override them.

Subject to those rights, responsibility for loss depends on the circumstances and applicable law, including whether the loss was reasonably foreseeable and caused by a failure to meet our obligations. You and we should take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss. These terms do not impose an unlimited indemnity on you or make you responsible for loss caused by us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service improvements, security needs or changes in law. We will publish the updated date and give reasonable advance notice of changes that materially affect your rights, unless urgent legal or security reasons require earlier action. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Where consent is required, we will ask for it separately. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the service and request your data or account deletion, without losing any statutory remedy.

Support, complaints and applicable law

Contact Wei Cui (GuGu Develop) at support@aureceipt.com or use our support form. We aim to reply within five business days. This is a response target, not a promise that every issue will be resolved in that time. Please describe the problem and the outcome you seek; do not include passwords or sign-in codes. We will consider complaints fairly and explain our response.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and applicable Australian law, without removing mandatory consumer protections available where you live. We encourage contacting us first so we can try to resolve concerns, but you do not waive your right to contact a regulator, seek independent advice or use a court or tribunal available under applicable law. These terms do not require exclusive arbitration or an exclusive court location. If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
